Our Hero Piece - The Bella Ball Pendant

The Bella Ball collection has been inspired by elements of light & nature, their elegant movement, form and texture, how they reflect positive vibes, bring tranquillity to the soul and display timeless beauty.
The Bella Ball is the circular object at the heart of this intricate and delicate modish collection transforming the concept of harmony into a fashion forward piece of jewellery with a bohemian edge.  The circular ball is etched with triangles and 6- sided stars, turning this simple concept into a significantly striking yet wearable piece.
Triangles represent the 3 elements: earth, wind and fire. The upward facing triangle represents the energy of fire making strength the focal point of this empowering collection. The 6-sided stars signify union between man & women whilst creating symmetry, completing the ball with a magical and astrological feel.
These elements have then been extracted from the Bella Ball to create a full collection compromising of,14k Gold Vermeil stacking rings, delicate bracelets, studs, hoop earrings, pendants and necklaces, complemented with Black Spinel & White Topaz.
A beautiful collection with cultural heritage at it's heart.
Prices ranging from £60 - £300.

To most, Mykonos is known as the party island of Greece, but when travelling with a young family it is more than that. The island is surrounded by pristine beaches, winding roads lined with stark white Mikonian architecture, whilst the centre is filled with buzzy restaurants and dozens of stylishly curated shops selling high-fashion to locally made products. It has been transformed into a fashionistas paradise. But with few taxis in sight, you might want to hire your own wheels to get around the island.

What to do?

After your daily dip in the beautiful blue Aegean Sea, head into Mykonos Town.   Loose yourself in the white washed streets where glamour meets simplicity. Step into Gallery’s displaying local artists work, high-fashion boutiques or stumble upon unique handmade jewels where each creation has it’s own special energy deriving from the stones. One thing is for sure…there is style and inspiration everywhere!

I obviously couldn't resist making a purchase! Original Greek leather sandals!

In need of a bit of culture?

Whether you are an art-lover, a history enthusiast or just want to bring something beautiful home, head to the i-Museum Shop for a dose of culture. Here you get to experience the beauty of ancient greek art through collections of beautifully crafted replicas of objects, from jewellery to sculptures, found at archaeological sites around Greece. Being jewellery obsessed, I fell in love with this jewellery collection, inspired by old drinking vessels.

Where to eat & drink?

We are a family of foodies made up of vegetarians & pescatarians and always on the search for the best culinary delights about town. We found great greek salads at almost every corner, but if you fancy something not so traditional, I would highly recommend the following:

Ling Ling by Hakkasan – Chinese

Buddha Bar - Thai

D’ Angelo’s – For Pizza Lovers

Pasta Fresca Barkia – Delicious!

Where to stay?

Santa Marina Hotel Resorts & Villas

Located in Ornos Bay, approx. 3km away from Mykonos town, the resort has it’s own secluded private sandy beach and has been recently refurbished.

I recommend their Deluxe Sea View room!  Breathtaking!

The hotel is child friendly and has a beautiful play area for children.

This is also where Buddha Bar is located and it even has it’s own helipad!

Enjoy! x

Getting Show Ready

Our first blog post about our first showcase. SB LONDON is in full prep mode for IJL2015. (International Jewellery London)

Here are some tips from our Founder & Creative Director, Punam Gudka to make sure you have what you need at the show:

Punam Gudka

Essentials: iphone, mac book, moleskin notebook with pen, glasses, lipstick and lipliner to perfect the pout.

Go to Shoes: A girl needs options so at every show I bring a pair of strappy killer heeled sandals and for that unpredictable weather, my latest investment, a pair of black heeled leather boots.

Biggest faux pas: Forgetting to put on my SB jewels.
